Yes, but please keep in mind that they must be taught to respect the dog’s space, belongings, and food.
• HOUSEBROKEN? NOT 100% YET. As a dog rescued off the street and transitioning from living on indoor tile/ outdoor dirt surfaces in Mexico, they'll need time and patience to adjust to a new environment, but most of our dogs adapt to a potty routine within 1-2 weeks with consistent training.

🐾 Meet PRANCER 🐾

Prancer and his siblings—Patty and Peppermint—were only two weeks old when their mother was tragically hit by a car. Too young to survive on their own, blind and helpless, these three tiny puppies faced almost certain death on the streets. A kind woman found them and sheltered them temporarily, but newborn puppies need round-the-clock care. That's when MexiMutts stepped in.

For the next several weeks, Prancer was raised on formula and affection, in the loving company of his two siblings. He never knew his mother, but he learned that humans could be trusted to take care of him.

Now at six months old, Prancer has blossomed into the highest-energy puppy of the trio. If Patty is the feisty one and Peppermint is the calm observer, Prancer is pure motion. This little guy is go-go-go, bouncing from one activity to the next like he's trying to fit every possible experience into a single day.

"He's very hyperactive," his foster says, laughing. "He just has so much energy. But that's what makes him so fun."

Prancer loves to play with his plush toys, but not in a calm, gentle way. He wants action. He'll grab a toy and shake it wildly, toss it in the air, pounce on it. If you don't throw it for him fast enough, he'll throw it himself and chase after it. He's constantly in motion—wrestling with his siblings, zooming around the yard, bringing toys to anyone who'll play with him. He'll bark a little to get your attention, nudge your hand with a toy, do whatever it takes to keep the game going.

The good news? All that energy comes with serious food motivation. Prancer absolutely loves treats, which makes him an excellent candidate for training. He's smart, eager, and will work for rewards. In the right home with someone committed to channeling his energy into learning, he'd excel at training, tricks, maybe even agility. He just needs someone to give him that structure and mental stimulation.

Between his bursts of activity, Prancer does have calm moments—when he's finally burned through his energy reserves and crashes for a nap. But those moments are brief before he's back up and ready for the next adventure.

He does have a bit of anxiety, which probably manifests as restlessness or needing reassurance. He thrives on attention and interaction—wants to be where the action is, playing with people or other dogs. He'd do best in a home where someone has time to actively engage with him, to give him the exercise and play he needs to be happy.

Prancer is wonderful with other dogs and would absolutely benefit from a canine sibling who can match his energy and play with him throughout the day. He's good with kids too, making him a great fit for an active family. Just be prepared: this is a puppy who needs daily exercise, interactive play, training sessions, and lots of patience while he learns to channel all that enthusiasm appropriately.
What Prancer needs is an active home that can keep up with his puppy energy: someone who won't get frustrated by his hyperactive nature but will instead help him become a well-adjusted, well-behaved dog.

After growing up in the loving chaos of a puppy pile with his siblings, Prancer's ready to find his forever family. He's waiting for someone who'll laugh at his antics, who'll play endless rounds of fetch, and who'll help him grow into the best version of his vibrant, joyful self.

Are you ready for a high-energy, treat-motivated companion who'll keep you laughing, keep you active, and fill every single day with play, adventure, and that special kind of chaos that only a spirited puppy can bring?

*************************

📝 Ready to apply?
