Potato's Story
4yrs old (just recently). He is the BEST boy ever! Super sweet and anyone who meets him falls in love with him. He even has an entire vet clinic who know and love him. He was with us for a while because we wanted him to have all necessary surgeries and was really in no rush to have him leave. Since he was first listed, he has gotten his surgeries for the soft palate and nares. They have helped some but he still has his moments. He does get allergies from time to time which makes him itchy. He gets cytopoint every 2 - 3 months. He is also fed upright to help with digestion. He sometimes get acid reflex (which is his biggest issue, we believe...but meds can help). Overall, he is easy to maintain if you know what to do and how. He's easy to take care of and is very quiet and independent. A true love bug, though! He is truly the best Frenchie boy!

READ CAREFULLY!
We are NOT in a rush to get him adopted. It absolutely has the be the best home for him. Local to the Orlando area only. NO exceptions.

He is current on shots
He also comes with a lifetime of free pet-sitting
We will also sponsor a year's worth of any meds he needs, as long as he continues to go to the vet that knows him. Plus we will provide first month of his special food.
His vet is in Oviedo so we would like for him to continue there (plus the staff absolutely loves hm there!)

Fee (TBD) includes all the above plus several items.

STEP 1: Submit An Application (can be downloaded from the website) and we will determine if it's a potential match!

-----------------------------------------
OLD INFO:
Just turned a year old last month (Dec). Weighs 26lbs. Friendly, loves to follow you around, good with other dogs, and is a fun guy. He is even a bit athletic! And he is definitely adorable and has a beautiful blue fawn coloring and beautiful eyes. He does well in a crate. Likes exploring the yard, at times. He makes the typical snorty noises that these little bullies are known to do. He has his lazy moments, but over all, he is fun and cuddly.

He does have a shorter snout so he will need to be kept cool and can't get too hot or worked up (same as any Frenchie, really). He eats well and has a healthy appetite. Currently, we are working with a vet to figure why he sometimes throws up his food. It could be that he gets so worked up because he does have energy at times, but we are starting with a few basic things to see what will work. For now, it is recommended that he eats with an elevated bowl and rests after he eats so that he has time for his food to digest before being active again. He has recently been switched to a food the vet recommends trying. (By the way, The girls at the vet and the doctor absolutely loves him!)
UPDATE: He is doing much better! He is still on a specific food and so after this food that he is on, we are hoping that he can go to his regular food.

He has improved with pottying but he MIGHT mark at first (he's a male dog so....it happens!) If he is taken out every couple of hours, he does well. He is good in the crate for a few hours.

Ideally, a good family home with someone who isn't gone for long hours, has a nice fenced in backyard, and hopefully even another friendly dog for him to play with,..or be semi-lazy with would be what we are looking for. An experienced home that is familiar with the breed is highly preferred and will be prioritized. We are looking for a local home, only.

Update 2/1/23: Potato is a joy. he is great in the crate and has little to know accidents in/out of the crate. He's a sweet boy who loves to to be with his humans. He goes in for his neuter/surgeries soon and then will be ready for his new home!

Fee includes: Neuter, Microchip, Current Shots (DHPP, bordetella, rabies, current Heartgard, Flea/Tick Prevention, and supplies! He is heartworm negative.
Email or message us here or on Facebook for how you can adopt this awesome pup!

*See Facebook page for adoption event announcements so that you can visit him!

**We expect several inquiries so please be patient with replies. The FIRST STEP to applying is to SUBMIT AN APPLICATION, which is found on our website. Once it is reviewed, you will get a reply. No need to check back for status. We will reach back out if we would like to take the next steps with your application, which includes setting up an application to meet. The website stays updated, so if he is on the website, he is still available to apply for.

Video link: https://animoto.com/play/fck1xYwVmnYbVHEw4dnylQ
