Possum Adonis ("Possum") is a six-year-old mini Pit mix who came to the shelter on April 28 as an owner surrender along with Naomi Lynn. When he arrived, he was covered in fleas and had open wounds on his hips from scratching.<br/>Thankfully, Possum has made a remarkable recovery and no longer shows any signs of the fleas or skin issues he arrived with. <br/>He wants to be whrever his person is. Possum is incredibly people-oriented and would almost certainly become a loyal Velcro dog for any person who is lucky enough to bring him home. <br/>Possum has patiently waited his turn to be adopted. Dogs often become stressed, frustrated, or withdrawn after spending months in a shelter. Somehow, Possum has done the opposite. He still welcomes every person who walks by with a wagging tail and hopeful eyes, as if he were interviewing for a family that keeps choosing someone else.
