Porter's Story

Porter Labrador Retriever 14-Years-Old Neutered Male Approx. 65 lbs.

Porter came to us as an owner surrender, where he had been a well-loved family member since he was a puppy. Porter was trained as a service dog for his human brother with autism and was a loyal and faithful companion throughout his life, seeing his family through many life events. As it does, life hit them hard and they could no longer care for him and made the loving and tough choice to find him a new home.

Porter does not know he is a senior dog, much less a 14-year-old one! He loves to play like a puppy and greets everyone with just as much enthusiasm. As you would imagine from a dog with his background, Porter loves kids and gets along with every dog he meets. He loves cuddles and his walkies, soaking in ALL the sniffies along the way. Aside from some normal senior aging, Porter gets the clean bill of health and brings lots of adventures left in the tank. Porter would do well with almost any family, but would love some human kiddo siblings or some doggie friends to keep him company!
