Porsha Pekingese & Dachshund Mix East Hartford, CT

Meet Porsha! She is a 7 year old Pekingese/Dachshund mix and weighs 18lbs. Before coming to POA, Porsha was in a home with 7 other dogs. Zorro and Mia, his "honey," had 6 puppies and they all lived together as one big happy family. Unfortunately, one of their owners passed away and POA stepped in to help. Posha is Zorro and Mia's daughter and she has inherited their good looks and sweet personalities! She is a love bug who enjoys lots of pets, going for walks, and being lavished with affection. Right now, Porsha shares a pen with her dad, Zorro. They are not a bonded pair, but the two love each other's company. If a family wishes to adopt both sweeties, we would certainly consider that option. Porsha has advanced glaucoma in her right eye and after consulting with our veterinarian, the decision was made to remove her eye as the glaucoma will certainly worsen as she ages. Porsha is good with other dogs (not sure about cats). Children over 10 years old may be okay.
