He came to us as a stray with a face full of porcupine quills, but despite his rough start, he's remained one of the sweetest, most lovable boys around.<br/><br/>This handsome guy loves spending time outdoors and is always ready to explore. He's a strong dog who can get excited about interesting sights and smells, so he's currently working on his leash manners. Porky is also very food-motivated and is learning to take treats politely, making training both fun and rewarding.<br/><br/>When meeting new people, Porky may bark at first because he's a little unsure, but once he realizes you're a friend, his goofy, affectionate personality shines through. He's the kind of dog who will keep you smiling with his silly antics and loving nature.<br/><br/>Porky has had limited interactions with other dogs while in our care, but so far he seems to get along best with female dogs. As with any new dog, slow, thoughtful introductions will help set him up for success.<br/><br/>If you're looking for a loyal, fun-loving companion who's ready for adventures, snacks, and plenty of love, Porky is waiting to meet you!<br/><br/>At the Humane Society of Midland County, all animals adopted will be spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations prior to an adoption. Dogs over 6 months of age will be heartworm tested, and any dog with a positive test will receive treatment at No Appointment Needed to Meet Adoptable Animals! <br/>We have open adoption hours, and walk-ins are always welcome! While filling out an application lets us know you're interested in adopting, it does not hold an animal, and applications are not required to meet the available animals. We do highly recommend and may require you to bring any dogs that reside in the same household, or that will be around commonly if you are meeting a new dog companion. <br/><br/>Want to Know if Im Still Available? <br/>Call the shelter at (989)-835-1877 to confirm my availability.
