Porkchop's Story

Porkchop may be two years old, but this sweet, energetic girl is still a puppy at heart! She loves to play, explore, learn, and soak up plenty of affection when it’s time to wind down. Porkchop is a smart girl who loves training and will thrive with adopters ready to continue using positive reinforcement to help her build confidence and strengthen her skills. When she gets especially excited or overwhelmed, she can become jumpy and mouthy, so a patient family who can give her guidance, consistency, and time to settle will be important for her success. She enjoys spending time with other dogs after thoughtful, gradual introductions, though she can become frustrated when she sees dogs while out on leash. A quieter, lower-traffic neighborhood may help her feel more comfortable and make walks a more positive experience. She is also still building confidence with stairs and may need some encouragement and patience as she continues to master them. Porkchop is an energetic girl who would love a family that can give her plenty of appropriate outlets for exercise, play, training, and enrichment. She especially enjoys searching for treats and kibble, and once she is relaxed and ready to rest, she loves settling in for some gentle affection. If you're looking for a fun-loving, intelligent pup and are ready to help her continue her training journey, Porkchop may be your perfect match!
