Poppy's Story
Updated 2/10/25
Poppy is doing GREAT in foster! She has decompressed nicely! She loves to cuddle but is also happy to sleep in her crate.

Poppy is not a playful dog. She will cuddle with her humans and is content to chill. She is housebroken. We believe Poppy to be a hunting/sporting dog. She loves running outside and trying to catch the squirrel or birds! She is not considered cat friendly and doesn't love being around younger children.

Adopt this ball of perfection!!
—-
Poppy was adopted out several years ago but hasn't been doing well with the cats in the house. Poppy was returned because it was too difficult for the family to manage her and the cats, but we are happy to have her back safely and ready to try again for her perfect forever home. She is now decompressing in her foster home. She is fully vetted and spayed, crate trained, walks well on a lead, and loves stuffed animals. She would make a wonderful companion for a family but may do best as an only dog for now while she gets adjusted.

Visit BrickCityRescue.com to apply to adopt Poppy!
