She’s a shy girl who is still learning that the world is a safe place, and sometimes she gets scared and may hide when she feels unsure. But behind that timid exterior is a very loving pup just waiting to feel safe. Once Poppy trusts you, she becomes incredibly affectionate — she loves to cuddle, give sweet kisses, and stay close to her person. She’s slowly but surely coming out of her shell more and more, and it’s been so special watching her confidence grow. Poppy will need a patient, understanding home that will give her the time she needs to blossom. Delilahs 2nd Chance's Adoption Policy

Thank you for your interest in Delilah's 2nd Chance and our many rescue pets! In a world where pets are bought and sold like accessories, we greatly appreciate those who prefer to rescue and adopt rather than shop. Here at Delilah's we are a rescue and not a shelter, so we work with many volunteers and fosters to house and maintain the well-being of our animals, so please bear with us as many of us also have responsibilities and full time jobs outside of our crazy rescue lives! But don't worry, we are just as excited as you are to unite you with you new furry friend! Here's a few key things to note. - First and foremost, please fill out an app at Delilahs2ndChance.org/adopt once it's been reviewed we will be in contact with you at the earliest convenience. This process takes 2-5 days with home visit and reference checks. We reserve the right to deny any application or you may cancel the process. - Once your application has been approved we will find the best fitting fur baby for your needs and situation. - As a foster based rescue and for our furry friends safety, we need to schedule meet and greets for you and your furry friend, we currently do not have a main facility. If you have any other pets, please make sure to note it on your app and if possible, bring them to the meet and greet if requested. - Adoption fees may vary and range from $0-$700 Don't let the price scare you, our fur babies come spayed/neutered, immunizations, deworming, microchipped, rabies shots over 6 months w/certification(no tag). We reserve the right to get creative with our adoption fees as we always want our rescues to have the amazing homes they deserve. - We take applications in the order they are received and approved, unless there is a $150 non refundable deposit made to hold the rescue during the application process. In the event that the rescue you're interested in is already pending or has a deposit, don't fret, we have plenty of amazing recuse to choose from!
