Poppy's Story

Hi, I’m Poppy! I’m a sweet, silly female hound mix around one year old, and I’m ready to find my forever home.

I came in as a stray, but am doing great in my foster home—I’m very interested in being someone’s forever home-dog. I’m a healthy 45 pounds and I’m already working hard on my basic commands and getting better on a leash every day. I’m very food motivated and working on bouncing less when excited. I try my best, so just need a little patience while I keep learning.

I’m super playful and love to find toys to carry around and to play with other dogs. I am picking up on the cues from the other dogs in my foster home and house training is going GREAT! I love to take naps in my crate when the humans are gone, and sleep there at night too.

I get along well with other pups and absolutely love meeting new people, but my foster parents don't know about how I am with cats. I’m the kind of girl who thinks everyone is a potential new best friend. Since I am full of energy, a home with older children is preferred.

If you’re looking for a happy, loving companion who’s eager to learn and ready to be part of your life, I might just be your perfect match. I can’t wait to meet you!
Every PAWS dog is loved, vetted, and ready for a fresh start
