Poppy's Story

Poppy - Female - DOB- 7/25/2025

Teeny. Tiny. And 8lbs of unconditional Love, Licks, and "Who are YOU????".

Poppy is settling into her Foster Home VERY well, however she still startles when she is licked up or awoken by a human she is not familiar with. While we are unsure of her history, we do know that she came from a home where she lived with her biological Mom (A Yorkie, see photo below) and her biological Dad was a chihuahua.

Her current living situation is a beautifully busy home where adult humans and tiny humans live/frequent often. Other dogs live and visit the home as well, and Poppy is enjoying her human friends after she has met them a few times. She is instantly friends with her doggie friends.

Adoption Information:

The adoption fee (tax-deductible donation) is $400

If you’re interested in adopting, please complete an application at:

https://nalarescue.org/adopt/dog-adoption-application/

Please note that a veterinary reference check and home visit are part of our application process.

NALA Rescue is a home-based, foster-only rescue and does not have a public facility.
