Poppy is part lab, part certified Velcro pup, and part tiny treasure goblin. <br/><br/>When Poppy first came to us, the world felt a little big and a little loud. She’s still learning that life can be soft, safe, and full of people who adore her — but through it all, she has remained endlessly sweet, gentle, and loving. She’s the kind of dog who quietly steals your heart while curled up beside you for a nap.<br/><br/>Poppy likes to take her time getting comfortable with other dogs, calmly observing but once she realizes all is good-she jumps in. Poppy enjoys chasing, wrestling, and bouncing around like she’s been part of the pack forever. <br/><br/>Her favorite hobby is collecting “treasures” — socks, shoes, balls, stuffies… if it can be carried, there’s a good chance Poppy will proudly transport it to her bed to add to her growing collection. She’s not much of a barker, but she does make the funniest little whiny-grunty noises when she’s excited or really wants to be close to you. And if you happen to scratch her? She melts instantly into a puddle of happiness.<br/><br/>Poppy loves everyone she meets — adults, kids, dog friends — and while she’s still building confidence, she’s already mastered the art of being the perfect companion.
