Poppy's Story
This beautiful pug puppy was discovered in a vacated rental after neighbors alerted the manager to ongoing whimpering sounds. She was found secured to a heavy dumbbell with only about 1 1/2 feet of moving room allowed by the rope tied around her neck. She had no food or water made available and was thin and scared when we received her a short time ago. She is believed to be between 6 months and 1 year old and is already almost a sure-thing for being spoken for - and no wonder: She is a gorgeous greyish-fawn, an excellent example of the breed and deserving of a brand new life.<br/>UPDATE: Poppy has found a good home and, now, can move through her traumatic experience, leaving all the dumbbells of the past behind!
