She enjoys playtime, other dogs, and being included, but she doesn’t live in a constant state of overstimulation. She’s the kind of dog who reads the room. She waits her turn. She is observant. She chooses connection and loves hard.<br/><br/>She’s grown up with consistent care and structure since the day she was born, and it shows in her confidence and adaptability. Poppy has a solid foundation, good manners, and an easygoing temperament. She fits into real life and can be taken places like dog-friendly patios, stores, and outdoor activities (including kayaking! Even though she did fall off the first time lol). <br/><br/>She’s steady, affectionate without being clingy, playful without being overwhelming, and calm without being shut down.<br/><br/>Poppy came into our rescue as a newborn in early April 2025, part of a litter of 8 born to a stray mom underneath drainage culverts in a rural area. Her mom and all of her littermates have been adopted.
