Meet Pooki!!  Approx 2 years old and 7 lbs<br/><br/>Pooki is a 1 year old 9 month Chihuahua/Pug mix.<br/><br/>Likes: Being on someone’s lap.  She enjoys car rides and going for walks.  <br/><br/>Dislikes: Does not like to go outside in the rain or snow.  Will not go on wet grass.  Is afraid of storms and fireworks.<br/><br/>Personality: Sweet and Loving<br/><br/>Temperament: Friendly<br/><br/>Energy Level: Low to Medium<br/><br/>Favorite Activities: Snuggling with her person and chewing on her bone.<br/><br/>Favorite Treat? Any<br/><br/>Eating Schedule: Between 7-8am and 4-5pm<br/><br/>Good with Cats, Dogs and kids over 6?<br/>Yes, she loves kids! Has not been cat tested.  <br/><br/>House Trained: Working on it.  She will use a pee pad if it is raining or snowing outside. When you put her out in these conditions, she will come back in and use the pee pad.<br/><br/>Signals to go outside: Will either go to her pee pad or the sliding glass door. <br/><br/>Crate trained?: Yes.<br/><br/>Challenges: Continue to Housebreak her.  She does have guarding tendencies.  She will guard her food.<br/><br/>Medical issues: None<br/><br/>What would be the best home for her:  Someone home more often than not.  <br/><br/>Not good with: she will guard laps, so needs a home that understands this. <br/><br/>Our adoption process starts with our application. Once the application is approved, a member of Legacy will contact you to set up a home visit. The home visit usually last 1-1 1/2 hours and is to make sure our dog and any current dogs/cats are getting along, as well as both of us agreeing it's a fit. At this time the adoption fee is due, and begins the 2 week trial. We will check in during the 2 week trial. If it's not working, our dog is returned to the foster home and all except $100.00 {$75 if Senior} of the adoption fee is returned. At the end of the 2 week trial, you decide if you will finalize the adoption - if finalized, the Adoption Contract is signed and all medical records are turned over to you.
