Poochie's Story

Meet Poochie!

A gorgeous 5-year-old Great Pyrenees mix with a beautiful cream coat and an impressive 160-pound, gentle-giant presence. True to her breed, she absolutely loves being outdoors and would thrive in a home with a fenced yard, acreage, or farmland where she can safely explore. She’s a wanderer at heart, but when her people are outside with her, she stays close and loves their company.

Poochie is wonderful with children and gets along well with dogs of all sizes. She has also been around livestock—such as pigs and donkeys—and has done beautifully with them, making her a great fit for a family with animals or a farm setting. She is affectionate, loyal, and loving, but also independent enough to enjoy doing her own thing, just like a typical Great Pyrenees.

This big girl is as easy to live with as she is easy to love. She is house trained, crate trained, and surprisingly great in the car, even with her size. Poochie should receive treats and high-value items separately from other dogs, but she does fine being fed regular meals alongside them. She is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and will come with a health certificate prior to adoption.

Poochie is ready to bring her sweet, steady, and devoted nature to a family who understands and appreciates the wonderful traits of her breed. She’ll make an incredible companion for the right home—one that gives her space, security, and plenty of love.

https://www.livefreerescue.com/adoption-application

**We can’t adopt to MA residents**
