PONCHO's Story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.PONCHO came into rescue due to his owner sadly passing away and he’s now looking for a new family to share his life with. He’s neutered, vaccinated including his rabies shot, microchipped and tested negative on his 4DX blood test. He does have an ear infection that he’s taking antibiotics for and his vet expects it to clear up in the next day or two due to the medication he’s on. He was just groomed a couple of weeks ago so he’s all spruced up and ready to go off to his new life. He’s just the sweetest little boy who’s calm, loving and loves to be with his people and snuggling on the couch with them. He does sleep on his own fluffy bed at night and he loves to be covered with a blanket to keep him warm and cozy.
PONCHO is house trained and knows to do his business outside although he’ll use a pee pad inside the home if there’s one on the floor. He is working on getting back into the habit of going outside though. He loves to go on walks and gets excited when he knows he’s going on one. He wears a knitted sweater for going outside and he has his harness over the top of it. He was always an only dog but he does have a small dog he’s fostered with and they get along well so he would suit a home with another one and ideally a small, calm one just like he is.
PONCHO would love to have an owner that will take him on a couple of walks a day to help keep him fit and active. He didn’t have children in his previous home and we don’t believe he’s had a lot of exposure to them. so we are saying they should be aged 12yrs and up if any will be in his new home and they should be calm, gentle and loving towards animals. It would be. I e if he had a fenced-in yard so he can play outside and run around safely. He does have basic training and is well mannered. He’ll sit for his meals and is very gentle when taking a treat from your hand.
If PONCHO sounds like a dog that will fit into your home and life style then please submit an adoption application to meet him.
