He enjoys puzzle toys and working on basic obedience skills. He can’t wait to take classes and be the star pupil! His foster family is helping him learn how to relax by using a mat for downtime where he enjoys chewing on bones or working on a Kong.<br/><br/>Poncho is a great fit for families that appreciate and understand smart, engaged herding dogs. He can live with dog-savvy kids roughly 10+, and hopes they enjoy playing fetch! He dreams of a fenced yard and is also well suited to families who keep their dogs safe on leash. He is house and kennel trained.<br/><br/>Poncho loves life in the house as an only dog. He is happy to meet new canine friends for walks and excursions. He tries to gently herd the kitty in his foster home, but we feel he would be happiest in a cat-free home.<br/><br/>This special dog deserves all the love he puts into the world with his optimistic, upbeat approach to life. Meet and greets with specific dogs are arranged once your adoption application (not an inquiry through Petfinder) has been received, processed, and approved. We are located in Minnesota and adopt to an area 400 miles from Minneapolis/St. Paul.<br/><br/>Poncho's adoption fee is $450 + MN sales tax. He is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on age-appropriate vaccines. Upon adoption, all of our dogs go to their new homes with a collar and harness, leash, starter food, blanket, favorite toys & treats. They are current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention.
