When she arrived, she was terribly matted and in need of gentle care and comfort—but underneath all that neglect is a beautiful Yorkie with a tender heart.<br/><br/>Pomfret is shy and reserved, still learning that people can be kind and that life in a home can be safe and loving. She watches the world carefully and takes her cues from other dogs, which is why she’ll need a mentor dog in her new home—one who can show her the ropes, help her gain confidence, and teach her about everyday joys like toys, walks, and cuddles.<br/><br/>With time, patience, and love, Pomfret will continue to blossom. She’s a gentle soul who deserves a family that understands her quiet spirit and will celebrate each milestone along her journey.<br/><br/>Dogs needing foster homes are available for adoption.
