Polly Pocket's Story
Paralyzed in her back legs, Polly was heartbreakingly abandoned in the lobby of the Riverside County Department of Animal Services. After the shelter reached out to us for help, we welcomed her into the Frosted Faces family.

Polly is approximately 8 years old and weighs 20 pounds. Despite the challenges she's faced, she remains incredibly sweet, friendly, and full of spirit. Every person Polly meets is a new friend, and she LOVES attention - pets, belly rubs, snuggles - all of it!

We outfitted Polly with a custom set of wheels, and she surprised us all with how quickly she adapted-happily cooperating as we helped her in and out, then taking off like she'd been using them her whole life!

Polly is currently on a two-week Frosted Fling to enjoy spending time in a home while she waits for her forever family. Her Fling Mom shares:

"It's been a little over a week with Miss Polly P, and I fall more in love with her everyday! I had a lot of learning to do to when it came to wheels, diapers, drag bag, and expressing her bladder, but with practice, it no longer feels difficult, only more time consuming. The love Polly radiates makes all of it SO worth it. She may have extra needs, but she is so easygoing in all other aspects of pet care.

Getting on Polly's diaper can be challenging, but as I mentioned, practice goes a long way. It's only been a week, and I'm already so much better and more efficient now than I was when I first got her. She may give you a playful nibble at times, but that's just her saying "Hurry up! I want to keep moving!"

I can't emphasize enough how incredible of a dog Polly is."

Check back soon for the full report on Polly's Fling!

To meet Polly, please email placement@frostedfacesfoundation.org
