Polly is a sweet 4-year-old Golden Retriever weighing about 57 pounds. She’s a little on the thin side and would benefit from gaining a few pounds. She also has a wound on her leg that she came to us with that is healing.<br/><br/>Before her rescue, Polly was kept for breeding, which has left her a bit insecure and shy when first meeting new people. With patience and kindness, her gentle personality truly blossoms. She’s adjusting beautifully to life as an inside dog, and she absolutely loves it! Cozy naps, soft beds, and being close to her people are quickly becoming her favorite things.<br/><br/>Polly gains a lot of confidence from other dogs and truly thrives in their presence, so another dog in the home is REQUIRED for her forever family. She enjoys playing with her dog friends and follows their lead when learning that the world isn’t such a scary place.<br/><br/>This girl is very affectionate and snuggly once she feels safe. She loves to be by your side and will happily soak up all the love you have to give. Polly is crate-trained and currently working on house-training. She’s not yet comfortable walking on a leash, so a secure, fenced yard is rREQUIRED for her to safely potty and explore.<br/><br/>Polly is a gentle soul looking for a calm, loving home with a canine companion to help her continue building confidence.
