Polly's Story
Miss Polly is an 8–9-year-old Spaniel/Dachshund mix who has weathered a heartbreaking beginning to her new life with remarkable sweetness. Her foster mom describes her as a gentle, loving little soul who was found sitting in a roadside ditch, waiting for the family who had likely left her there. Car after car passed her by until a kind man at a nearby gas station couldn’t bear to watch any longer. When he approached, Polly climbed into his car without hesitation—sad, exhausted, but relieved to finally be safe.

When Polly arrived in rescue, she had a cherry eye and an infection in her mammary glands, issues that may have contributed to her being abandoned. She has since received proper veterinary care, is fully vetted, spayed, microchipped, and up to date on preventatives. Today, she is thriving in her foster home and showing just how deeply she loves people.

Polly is housebroken, responds to her name, and adores sleeping curled against her foster mom’s left leg every night. She loves car rides and relaxing in a comfy chair with her person. She does not ask for much, just a soft place to land and someone who will keep her close. She is currently living peacefully alongside two adult dogs and seven puppies, though she doesn’t play much with other animals. Polly is more of a quiet companion who prefers to be with her human, soaking up affection.

Polly is looking for a loving, patient family who will cherish her for the rest of her life and give her the security she has always deserved.

All of our dogs are up to date on vaccinations, spayed/neutered, microchipped, and on preventatives.
