Pollie's Story
FAST FACTS:
*10 Years Old & 56lbs
*Dog Friendly
*Kid Friendly
*Potty Trained
*Crate Trained
*Sponsored/Waived Adoption Fee

Pollie is the perfect blend of sweet and a little sassy, a ten-year-old, 56 pound girl who has mastered the art of being lowkey and lovable. Her foster mom can't help but laugh at the way Pollie lights up when it's time for a meal or a treat. Excitement is pure joy, and it's one of the many things that make her so endearing. She was found sitting on the side of a busy downstate Illinois road, where she had clearly been waiting for help for quite some time. After many cars passed her by, someone finally stopped, brought her to animal control, and now she's safe in rescue, enjoying the comfort she always deserved.

Pollie lives in a foster home with three dogs and another foster pup, and she fits in beautifully. She mostly coexists with the other dogs, happy to share space without needing constant play or attention. Her energy level is low, and she prefers a calm, steady rhythm to her days. She enjoys going for walks, spending time in the backyard, and simply being outdoors. Inside the house, she always finds the softest bed or rug, where she'll curl up to sleep or settle in with a tough bone to chew. She is potty trained, crate trained, affectionate, snuggly, and wonderful with kids. She sheds moderately and vocalizes a little, though not much. Her foster mom says she's generally quiet, but when she does let out a howl or bark, it's impressively loud, which makes her better suited for a home without shared walls.

Pollie's leash manners are excellent, and her foster describes her as a great walker. Her favorite activities are gentle ones: strolling through the neighborhood, exploring the yard, or lounging on a soft dog bed in a sunny spot. She doesn't need a high-energy household or a dog who wants to wrestle and play; she's happiest with a calmer family who appreciates a peaceful companion. She's an easy fit for almost any home, including first-time dog owners.

Her best-selling point, according to her foster mom, is that she's simply a lowkey, gentle, and content to be by your side. Pollie is the kind of dog who brings warmth and comfort just by being in the room, and she's ready to share that quiet joy with a family of her own.

If interested in adopting me please fill out an application on our website at www.fetchingtailsfoundation.org; please make sure you fill in every required field/question or your submission will not go through. Please note that we take time to learn as much as we can about each dog in our care and our bios are our current observations; we are unable to make any guarantees on the future health or temperament of your adopted dog. Most dogs in our care come with unknown pre-rescue history and as such breed and age estimates are an educated guess.

ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS, NO EXCEPTIONS:

*ADOPTION FEE: $0

*Be at least 21 years of age

*Have the knowledge and agreement of all adults living in the household

*Have approval from owner of residence (written in lease)

*Have a valid ID with current address (please provide proof of address if ID address is not up-to-date)

*Be approved as a suitable adoptive home by Fetching Tails Foundation

*Be prepared to make a lifetime commitment

*QUESTIONS ABOUT OUR POLICIES?
