Poky

Just like his namesake, Poky loves to venture out to explore the wide, wide world, and most of all - to meet new people. He loves, loves, LOVES people. Poky doesn't really care much for other dogs, but can absolutely learn to get along after he's given a few days to settle in and learn the ropes. Poky is house trained, crate trained, and can ride elevators and climb stairwells like a champ! He's also great on leash and travels well by car - when tethered to a seatbelt, of course. Poky is a young and appropriately active guy for his age (~2 yrs) and can be mouthy at times, so would be best matched to an active family with slightly older kiddoes who won't be put off by an active pup who likes to engage in a bit of roughhousing. <br/>Poky tested positive for heartworms (boooo!). But he will be treated at CSRA/SA expense at one of our vets.<br/>Interested in adoption? Our adoptions require an approved application which you can find on austincockerrescue.org We adopt to within the state of Texas and do not ship or transport dogs. Becauase of his heartworm status, Poky will need to stay in the Central Texas area for his treatment.
