Poe's Story
Meet Poe! 🐾

Poe is a charming and affectionate male pup who's always excited to meet new friends! He has done well greeting dogs at a gate. He's full of energy and enthusiasm, which means he can be a little jumpy at first and is still learning basic manners. Despite his playful exuberance, Poe's favorite moments are quiet ones: he loves to cuddle and snuggle up with those he trusts.

Poe would thrive in a home that can provide consistent guidance, plenty of love, and lots of opportunities to play and explore. If you're looking for a joyful companion who will greet you with wagging tail and warm snuggles, Poe might just be your perfect match!

My Boroughbreaker writes: This was Poe's first outing and he walked very well on a leash! He is nervous in unfamiliar environments (loud sounds and unfamiliar visuals seem to be his trigger) and may pull away strongly when startled. He was very friend to meet new people during our time together and seems curious about other dogs. Poe didn't exhibit any interest in small birds or squirrels we may have passed on both our hike and walk.
He had a lot of zoomies when we went into the house, which was great to see! He is a jumper (on both people and tables) when he is excited. To get him to calm down, sitting on the floor seemed to help cause he would come over for human touch and then settle. Again, big dog trying to be a lap dog.
Other random observations: Poe seemed to pick up the "sit" pretty quickly when presented with a treat, but performance of the behavior is inconsistent when excited. He will withhold from food when he is nervous. He has some trouble/confidence with getting in a car - I had to lift him up. When he runs, he does so like a bunny which is quite adorable. Primary Color: White Secondary Color: Brown Weight: 63lbs Age: 1yrs 0mths 2wks Animal has been Neutered
