He can be a little nervous and anxious in new situations, but with some time and patience, he becomes more comfortable and his curious, gentle personality starts to shine.<br/><br/>- Sweet and gentle<br/>- A little nervous and anxious in unfamiliar surroundings<br/>- Gets more comfortable with time<br/>- Great with other dogs<br/>- Curious and enjoys exploring<br/>- Loves relaxing in the sunshine in the play yard<br/>- Loves bones<br/>- Enjoys walks and does well on leash<br/>- Stays close to his person and doesn't pull much<br/>- May walk in a few zigzags while exploring<br/>- Can be nervous around bikes, strollers, and some people<br/>- When unsure, he tends to shy away rather than bark or lunge<br/>- Enjoys head and belly rubs<br/>- Rides well in the car once settled<br/><br/>Plaintiff is looking for someone who will give him the time and patience he needs to feel safe and confident. Expect a response within about a week; please check your spam folder. As we're 100% volunteer-run, your patience is appreciated!<br/><br/>Requirements And Donations<br/>- Required Adoption Day Items: A martingale collar and a non-retractable leash (available for purchase at ODHS).<br/>- Adoption Donations: Puppies (under 1 year): $375; Adults: $275; Seniors (age-dependent): $175; Select dogs: $500. We accept cash, debit, and credit cards.<br/>- Adoption Radius: Within 350 miles of Fredericksburg, VA. A $50 out-of-state fee applies.<br/>- Breed Identification: Dogs are listed as "Mixed Breed" unless formal documentation is available.<br/><br/>Location And Hours<br/>- Visit our adoption center at 3602 Lafayette Blvd, Fredericksburg, VA 22408 during adoption hours: Wednesday 5-7 PM; Friday 6-8 PM; and Saturday 10AM-4PM.<br/>- We also host adoption events throughout our community.
