PJ's Story
๐ PJ -- The Boy With the Golden Eyes Who's Been Waiting His Whole Life ๐

(A survivor with a heart as soft as his gaze)

Some dogs have a story you can feel the moment you look into their eyes.
PJ is one of them.

His stunning golden eyes are the first thing you notice -- warm, gentle, searching. Eyes that have seen more than any puppy ever should, yet still shine with hope. Eyes that tell you he isn't broken... just waiting for someone to finally love him the way he's always deserved.

PJ and his siblings were found in a dumpster, tiny babies fighting for warmth and survival. A vet rescued them, brought them to safety, and gave them their first chance at life. But PJ grew up in rescue -- never knowing the comfort of a home, the rhythm of family life, or the feeling of being someone's whole world.

Now 10-11 months old and around 55 lbs, PJ is learning everything for the first time.
He's nervous. He's clingy. He wants to be touching a human at all times because he's terrified of being left behind again. He is the definition of a Velcro dog -- but in the sweetest, most vulnerable way.

He adores kids, is gentle with dogs (even though he's timid at first), and wants to play with cats even though his enthusiasm can be... energetic. He loves toys, loves bones, and loves settling into your arms like he finally found his safe place.

PJ has no manners yet, but how could he?
No one ever taught him.
But he's smart, eager to please, and so ready to bloom with someone patient and kind.

He sleeps best near people, melts into soft blankets, and watches your every move with those big golden eyes -- the ones that seem to ask, "Is this finally my home?"

PJ is not just looking for a family.
He's looking for his person -- the first person he'll ever truly belong to.

โธป

๐ ADOPTION DETAILS:

๐ Location: Kewaunee, WI
๐งก Age: ~10-11 months
โ๏ธ Weight: ~55 lbs
๐พ Breed Guess: Mixed breed
๐ฝ Housebreaking: Doing well with supervision + regular outdoor breaks
๐ถ Dog Friendly: Yes, timid at first
๐ฑ Cat Friendly: Wants to chase/play
๐ง Kid Friendly: Yes
๐ฆฎ Leash Training: Not yet -- he'll trip you trying to stay close
๐ Sleep Preference: Human bed, dog beds, blankets, couch, or crate
โค๏ธ Vetting: Neutered, microchipped, UTD on shots
๐ต Adoption Fee: $500

๐ Apply to adopt PJ: www.biggiepawsrescue.orgDATCP # 494550
