Meet PJ!<br/><br/>PJ (aka peach, peaches, peachy keen) has a rather tragic story. He was an owner surrender, who was severely emaciated, anemic, and dehydrated for an extended period of time. His body covered in large wounds and his fur stained yellow from being forced to live in his own waste. When I received PJ, we were all fearful he wouldn't survive, but despite the odds, this sweet boy persevered. He fought for his life and has made a tremendous recovery. <br/><br/>The best way to describe PJ? He is just happy to be here, happy to be ALIVE! (Which is where peachy came from lol) PJ is very snuggly, but also does well just laying by your feet playing with his toys. <br/><br/>He loves to explore new activities. So far he enjoys paddleboarding, boating, splashing in the creek, and hiking. He loves going for rides, going to the pet stores, parks and getting to play with humans and other dogs. Socializing and quality time are high on this boys list. Sometimes he can be a little nervous when meeting someone for the first time but is quick to become friends. He also slept through fireworks and did very well in high traffic areas like downtown GR and Holland during Tulip Time. <br/><br/>PJ is up to date on vaccinations and has tested negative for Heartworm disease. PJ was diagnosed with dry eye and will require daily eye medications which he is really good for. He also is allergy prone, but since starting on allergy meds as well as a limited ingredient diet, his allergies seem to be under better control. <br/><br/>PJ is a lovable boy who gets the puppy zoomies and is always excited to see his people get home.
