Hello, my name is Pixie Pie and I am a 7-8 yr old Yorkie mix, weighing in at 11lbs. <br/><br/>Before coming into rescue, I had it rough. I came from a hoarding situation and was used to breed and never learned the home life. I have done so well in my foster home, but I will always be skittish and leery of new people and things. So I need someone who will take the time with me to continue showing me home life is safe. <br/><br/>I get along great with dogs! I must have other small dog(s) in my new home. I get so much confidence from them and absolutely love playing with them. I like older kids but young kids are a little too fast paced and loud for me, so I will need to be in a home with older or no children. <br/><br/>I also love my foster mom and follow her everywhere, so someone who is home most of the time is perfect! I am potty trained and crate trained, but foster mom lets me sleep in the bed because she says I am perfect so it must be true right?! I will need a physically fenced in yard, if I get nervous or scared I will run. <br/><br/>I have luxating patellas in both my rear legs so no jumping for me or a lot of stairs. I can get up and down a couple but foster mom limits it. I am on a medication daily for it to keep me comfortable and will need to be kept up on it for life. It isn’t expensive and it really helps me! I am not currently a candidate for surgery because medication helps me. I am currently able to lead a normal life with medication. I am a sweet girl who wants a person to who understands me and loves me! I promise I’m worth the wait!<br/><br/>Pixie Pie is spayed, just had a dental including extractions, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, current on heartworm preventative (tested negative), and current on flea/tick preventative.
