Pixie's Story

Pixie is the definition of a loving companion dog. This sweet, cuddly girl absolutely adores people and would happily spend her days soaking up attention, curling up for naps, and following her humans around the house. She has a calm, affectionate personality and truly thrives on human connection. If you're looking for a loyal best friend who wants to be by your side, Pixie may be your perfect match!

While Pixie enjoys playing with larger dogs and has done great with her foster friends Asta and Bluey, people are definitely her favorite. She especially loves children and has such a gentle, happy demeanor around them. Pixie also has excellent manners in the home, earning an A+ in both house training and crate training. She's smart, eager to learn, food motivated, and already knows "sit" like a pro!

Pixie has a wonderful balance of playful and relaxed energy. She enjoys toys, treats, belly rubs, and cozy naps equally, making her an easy companion for many types of families. Whether she's leaning in for pets, rolling over for tummy rubs, or cuddling up beside you after a fun day, Pixie is happiest simply being loved.

Quick stats!
--Dogs: gets along well with bigger dogs/dogs her size
--Cats: would do best in a cat-free home
--Children: has done great with children (especially toddlers)
--Likes: belly rubs from her foster toddler, playing with bigger dog friends, and human family time

If Pixie sounds like the right fit for your home, fill out an adoption application today! muttsofthemidway.org/adopt

Mutts of the Midway's Adoption Policy
Thank you for choosing to adopt and your interest in Mutts of the Midway. Once there is an interest in a dog, our adoption application is completed with that dog noted. The application is vetted and two personal references and one veterinarian reference are checked. If approved, a meet and greet is set-up with all family members (including children and other dogs) and the adoptable dog. If the adopter and foster family agree it is a good fit, the adoption contract is completed and the adoption fee ($350 for a dog 6 months and younger, $300 for a dog older than 6 months) is paid. Finally the pick-up of the new family member is arranged! All applications are processed in the order they are received and we strive to find the best home for each of our dogs. All adopted animals will go into their forever home current on vaccines, microchipped, spay/neutered, heartworm preventative and given a health exam.
