Pixie's Story

Pixie is 4-year-old, 20 pound Cocker Spaniel whose life is finally beginning. Every day, Pixie grows a little braver. She's learning that walks are fun, car rides aren't scary, and gentle hands can be trusted. She's not a lap dog just yet—but with time, patience, and love, she's sure to continue blossoming.
Pixie loves spending time outdoors, enjoying a good meal, gentle pets, and playing with other dogs. She especially enjoys the company of smaller dogs, though she gets along well with larger dogs too. She's also cat-friendly!
She's making progress with house training and sleeps peacefully in her crate at night. Leash walking was confusing at first (she admittedly "flopped like a fish"), but she's starting to walk nicely around the neighborhood.
Because of her past, Pixie is still nervous around loud noises and sudden movements. She'll thrive in a calm home, where her family understands that trust takes time. More than anything, she needs a family willing to let her move at her own pace. Every small victory is a huge step for this sweet girl.
If you're looking for a dog whose love is earned through patience and kindness, Pixie will reward you with a bond that's truly special. She's a wonderful girl with so much love to give—she just needs someone willing to help her believe she deserves it.
Could Pixie be the missing piece of your family?
