Pixie's Story

Pixie is a 3-year-old Chihuahua who came to us as an owner surrender along with two other dogs. She's now ready to find her forever home - but she will need a patient and understanding family willing to give her the time she needs to feel safe. Pixie is fearful of new people and may nip out of fear when overwhelmed. Because of this, she would do best in:
- A home with no young children
- Someone home most of the day
- A fenced yard
- A calm environment where she can decompress at her own pace
She does great with other dogs, though bigger dogs over about 50 pounds can intimidate her. She is also good with cats.
Once Pixie learns to trust you, she becomes your little shadow and will want to be by your side all the time.
Pixie just needs someone willing to see past her fear and give her the love, patience, and security she deserves.
