Thanks to STS and our incredible vet partners, he's getting the medical care he needs — including surgery to remove the damaged portion of his lower jaw so he can finally live pain-free. What does that mean for him? Just that he'll enjoy soft food forever... which honestly sounds like the dream. Despite everything he's been through, Pirate is pure sweetness. He loves people, adores attention, and has mastered the art of sticking his tongue out like it's a full-time job. He's looking for his first matey — someone who sees past his rough seas and into the absolute gem he is. Stop the Suffering's Adoption Policy

OUR ADOPTION PROCESS: Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, microchip, fecal/deworming, negative heartworm, vaccines and prevention up to date. Ohio residents only. STS is a foster based, volunteer run, rescue. As such, we do not have a physical location or hours for you meet any foster dog and it does take time to answer each inquiry. All dogs are in homes and once an application is approved and a home visit is complete you are able to schedule meet and greets with available dogs. We encourage interested individuals to get approved prior to searching as it helps expedite the process. A petfinder inquiry is not a substitute for an application. We complete vet and reference verification. 3. Once approved, we schedule a home visit and meet and greet. WHAT WE REQUIRE: To ensure the safety and health of your new family member, we require that pets currently in the home be altered, up-to-date on vaccinations, on appropriate heartworm and flea prevention, and that all pets be kept indoors. We will require physical fences for specific dogs that we feel will be necessary to ensure their safety.
