Pippa's Story

MEET PIPPA!!
PIPPA is a 3 month old Sheltie/Chihuahua mix weighing just over 10 pounds of pure puppy cuteness. She's expected to grow into a smaller medium-sized girl likely around 35 pounds full grown, which is the perfect size for both adventures and couch snuggles.

This little girl has a soft, thick coat and is as sweet as can be. Pippa is in Zoomies training and we think she secretly hides jumping beans in her paws. In other words, the Energizer Bunny has nothing on her. She loves giving kisses to everyone she meets and is the happiest little girl.

Pippa would love a furry friend in her new home who is as active and playful as she is. She carries around her squeaky ball hoping Rory will try to take it away, which he usually does, then the shenanigans begin. They run around the yard, chasing each other and usually tire each other out. Pippa would do best with a large fully fenced yard.

Once the fun and games are over, Pippa settles down for a restful nap. Pippa is working on her potty training skills and is doing quite well. She sleeps all night in a pen with her brother, Rory.

Pippa is looking for an active family who will take her on long walks and teach her new tricks. I'm sure she can't wait to show you all the acrobatic tricks she's learned on her own.

If you're ready for a new best friend who is playful, loving and cuddly, Pippa is your girl. Come out and meet her this weekend.

Our adoption process is usually quick but may take up to two weeks. When you find an animal you are interested in, we ask that you fill out an application on our website, PawsUp4Rescue.org/adopting as a first step so we can determine if your family is a good fit for the animal. If you are, then we will contact you to arrange a time for you and your family to meet the animal so you can decide if it is a good fit. If you currently have dogs, we require them to be present at the meeting to ensure it's a good fit all around. Once compatibility is determined, we move on to the paperwork and finalize the adoption.

If the meet is not a good fit, we will keep your application on file for 6 months and will gladly consider your family for another dog.

Follow us on FACEBOOK: www.Facebook.com/PawsUp4RescueJoliet/
on INSTAGRAM: www.Instagram.com/PawsUp4RescueJoliet/

Paws Up 4 Rescue's Adoption Policy
1. The first step is to fill out an application on our website PawsUp4Rescue.org/adoptions. This lets us know you are serious about adopting. We will call and check with your vet to make certain your current pets are up-to-date on their vaccinations and have been spayed or neutered. If you rent, we will also check with your landlord to make sure it's okay that you are adding a family member to your household. 2. The next step is to set up a time to meet your potential pet. If you've already met and fallen in love at one of our adoption events, we can proceed to set up a home visit to see how the animal gets along with the other residents of your home. *Home visits are for the purpose of assessing the relationship between all animals in the home. 3. If all goes well, we proceed to the paperwork stages and end with a new family photograph to share on our Facebook page!
