My name is Piper, and at just about a year old, I suffered a trauma to my back leg that required removal for recovery. Now, I am fully healed up and ready to find my furever person/family! I can be shy when we first meet, but give me some time, and I’m ready to meet and greet you! I am GREAT with other dogs and kids, too! And don’t let the idea that I am a tripod make you think I am deterred by anything! I can run, jump on the couch or bed, and do anything a four-legged pup can do! I can be crated if needed, but I have free run of the house in my foster home and no problems! I will come to my new home up to date on my shots, spayed, and house-trained. Now I am just looking for that special someone who sees how special I am! If you would like to meet me, please fill out a pre-adoption application, and a CDR volunteer will get back to you just as quickly as they can!<br/>Tail wags and kisses-Piper<br/><br/><br/><br/><br/><br/>**The ADOPTION FEE for this pet is $400 which includes getting the puppy/dog up to date on rabies, distemper and bordetella vaccines, fecal test and deworming if necessary, heartworm test, spay or neuter (not including pre-surgical bloodwork) and a microchip. Free access to our weekly training classes is also included for the life of the dog, something no other rescue in the area offers.*

Chicagoland Dog Rescue's Adoption Policy
First step is to decide if you are ready for a long term commitment owning a dog.   Ask yourself if you are ready for vet bills, cost of food, training the dog, and what would happen to him/her if you became ill. Once you have decided you are ready for the commitment, the next step is to come to an adoption show and meet the dog you are interested in. Sometimes people fall in love with a picture, only to find another dog at the show better suits what they are looking for.    Please remember to bring all family members, including dog(s), who live at the home to meet the new dog.  We do not adopt out dogs as gifts.
