Piper's Story

PIPER ~~ Spayed Female, German Shepherd, Tan and Black, DOB: 7/9/2014, 84 pounds

Are you looking for a truly great senior pet to shower all your love and attention on? Look no further! We have the most wonderful senior German Shepherd who is currently living with us because her former owner was no longer able to care for her. Piper is eligible for our Seniors for Seniors Program where we waive her adoption fee and give her new owner (must be a senior citizen also) a 20% discount off future vet services and any medications or food for the remainder of her life. What a great way to add a loving companion to your life and improve the quality of Piper's life tenfold.

Piper is a very, very sweet, loving, social and gentle girl. She walks well on the leash and does not pull or jump up. She is food and treat motivated and is quite a smartypants. She is on a weight loss journey to shed some pounds and take stress off her joints. She also takes medication as well as a supplement to help with joint issues and decreased mobility. Piper is up to date on all vaccines and vet services, is microchipped and has a ProHeart Injection (for 1 year of continuous heartworm prevention) and a Bravecto Quantum Injection (for 1 year of continuous flea-tick prevention). Piper is very healthy for her age and is ready to find a wonderful forever home of her very own.

Things to know about Piper: she has a very gentle nature, is housebroken, loves to lounge and would make the perfect movie-marathon buddy. Piper would enjoy a calm, loving home to enjoy her golden years. She would love to have her own fenced backyard to frolic and play in.

Piper may do well with a friendly, submissive, non-dominant and non-aggressive dog, but may be best suited as an only dog. If there are other pets in the home, we require a meeting of all dogs in the home prior to adoption to ensure a smooth transition into a new environment. We are not sure how Piper does with small animals or cats as she has not really been around them.

If you are interested in meeting Piper to see if she is a good match for you, visit her at Crabapple Knoll Vet Clinic. 12604 Crabapple Road, Alpharetta, GA. 770.475.8272. Weekdays 630AM to 7PM. Saturday and Sunday 8AM to 4PM. We are closed on all major holidays. Please visit at least two hours prior to closing. Appointments are not necessary to meet any of our adoptable strays. Adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis.
