Piper (Courtesy Listing)'s Story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Piper is not currently up for adoption at our shelter - instead we are helping her owner, Jeremy, by listing her as a Courtesy Listing in hopes we can help him find someone that will welcome Piper into their home!
Jeremy's contact info is down below for anyone potentially interested....
'Piper is believed to be a Staffordshire Bull Terrier who loves to run, play, and explore. She is looking for a new home where she can be the only pet, as she has a strong prey drive and will chase small animals. Piper is great with adults and enjoys being around people. While she has limited experience with children, there are no known issues, though proper introductions are always recommended. She thrives with an active family who can give her plenty of playtime, exercise, and affection. While she enjoys attention, she is also independent and comfortable entertaining herself at times. She knows basic commands such as sit, stay, and leave it, and does very well leaving food alone when told. Piper is not destructive when left alone, though she’s happiest when she has a bone or chew to keep her occupied.
Curious by nature, Piper loves to investigate everything around her and would do best with owners who understand and appreciate her energy and personality. Piper is 2 years of age, spayed, healthy and current on all vaccinations. We do not know much about the first year of her life as was found wandering in the St. Louis area last winter. We believe the way she behaves around older women that perhaps her owner passed away and she was just let go. Veterinary reference information will be required for adoption consideration.'

Owners info:

Jeremy French
319-826-0315
jeremyfrench001@gmail.com
