Piper's Story
PLEASE NOTE: This dog is currently out of state but will be transported to Massachusetts shortly with no additional travel costs. Roughly 90% of our dogs are adopted prior to their transport up to MA and 10% are adopted locally.

Meet Jade, Piper and Shy! These cuties were dumped at the dump and have been in a loving foster home getting ready to travel north. They are approximately 6 months, and likely are Mutts! As puppies, they will need an adopter who will work on making her a great adult dog - house-training, crate training, and leash walking are skills to learn! She could go to a home with other dogs and kids 10+.

Her foster says, "With her one ear that's almost always standing straight up, and the other ear lazily laying down you get a quick glimpse of Piper's personality. She is both active and relaxed. She got her name because she was the first of her liter to speak up, and listen up as her ears indicated. She enjoys playing with her sisters, but when the tiredness kicks in, she wants nothing more than to lay her head in you lap and hope that you fall asleep before she does so she can sleep in your lap instead of her crate. Piper has experienced some separation anxiety in her crate. We have found that placing her sister Jade in the crate with her has made a world of difference. She now will walk in her crate and lay down instead of crying and having potty accidents within 10 mins of going in. She now sleeps through most of the nights completely, and if she wakes up needing to potty she goes out, and then will allow you to put her back in her crate without a struggle. Piper is the perfect dog for long hikes, followed by semi long naps. If her ears don't make you fall in love immediately, given just about 30 mins of 1 on 1 time there will be no questions in your heart that you have already fallen on love with her, and given the chance she will show you a love like you have never experienced before."

She is available for adoption in N Dartmouth on February 27th. Please fill out an application on our website at https://www.browndogcoalition.com/adoptable as a first step.

- Dogs may not be given as gifts or surprises.
- Please thoughtfully discuss with your entire household the physical, safety, financial and emotional responsibilities of a dog BEFORE applying to adopt.
- More information about our adoption process, application and adoption fees can be found at browndogcoalition.com
