Piper's Story

Meet Piper!

Piper has had a tough journey, but she’s finally safe and ready to find the perfect home to enjoy her golden years. When she was brought to us, she was unrecognizable and totally disguised with muddy, matted fur. After being medically groomed, this girl’s beauty now shines as bright on the outside as it always has on the inside.

At the age of 9, Piper just discovered her love for a comfy couch and she simply cannot imagine a life without one. She longs for a quiet, cozy household where she can nap on the couch, soak in the warmth of a safe home, and be surrounded by kindness and love.

Piper is an easy-going girl who just needs a soft place to land. Due to arthritis, Piper is unable to do stairs and cannot be lifted easily. Her foster mom has a ramp to help Piper get in and out of a car.

She gets around slowly so she’d love to find an owner who doesn’t mind walking a little slower on walks and taking time to smell the roses. Piper would be a good co-exister with any other animals in the home!

Piper deserves a family that will cherish her, spoil her, and show her every day how she should have been treated all along. If you’re looking for a quiet, affectionate companion to share peaceful days and cozy nights, Piper is ready to be your perfect snuggle buddy.

Visit STAF.org for more information on our adoption process. *** Email adoptadog@STAF.org for next steps! ***

• All of our animals are spayed/neutered and current on shots.
• We do not do same-day adoptions. You will be asked to return for at least one follow-up visit, then take the dog home for a trial period before officially adopting.
• You must be 21 years or older to adopt from STAF.
• Due in part to increasing coyote activity/incidents in the area and the difficulty of predicting how a dog will respond to invisible fence training, we can not adopt to homes with invisible fences.
• We do request vet and personal references.
• We can facilitate adoptions within a 30-mile radius of our Cincinnati-based shelter.
