Piper's Story
Piper!

Piper is a 3.5-year-old, 25-pound sweetheart who is looking for a new forever home after losing her beloved owner. Though this change hasn’t been easy for her, Piper’s gentle spirit shines through. We are unsure of her mix but she looks like she could have some beagle or dachshund in her.

She’s a little shy at first, but give her a bit of time and you’ll discover a truly sweet, loving companion. Piper adores people and gets along wonderfully with other dogs and even cats, making her a great fit for a multi-pet household. She’s also house trained and potty trained.

One of Piper’s favorite things is snuggling—she loves curling up right on your chest and soaking in all the love she can get. Piper is a bit on the chunky side and could benefit from shedding a few pounds, which just means more walks and quality time together.

If you’re looking for a gentle, affectionate dog who will happily be your little shadow (and cuddle buddy), Piper may be the perfect match for you.

Owning a dog is not just a privilege; it’s a responsibility. They depend on us for, at minimum, food and shelter, and deserve much more. When you take a dog into your life, you need to understand the commitment that dog ownership entails. So please before you apply be sure you are not just ready for the joy but are prepared for the responsibility.

Before applying to adopt, we encourage you to research the financial and time commitments involved in raising a dog. It’s important to have discussions as a family, especially if this is your first dog. We recommend looking into training options as well.

We will begin processing applications this week, and the review process may take anywhere from 1 to 15 days. Thank you for your patience!

Please note that adoptions are limited to the Tri-State area (NY, NJ, CT), and applicants must be at least 21 years old.

If you already have an application on file, please email heavencanwaitny@gmail.com with the subject line “Piper”.
