Piper's Story

Name: Piper

Breed: Mixed Breed. I'm not sure what I am. Everyone says I'm really cute though!

Sex/Age/Weight: Female/ estimated DOB 12/2025 /40 lbs

Vetting: spayed, microchipped, heartworm negative, up-to-date on vaccinations and on heartworm prevention.

House trained/Crate trained: Yes/Yes- my crate is my safe space and I will chill in there and am the goodest girl when waiting for my foster Mama to let me out.

Before FAR: My sister Nelli and I were surrendered to a loud scary shelter by our previous owner. I didn't love it there and was very nervous even though the staff loved me and took very good care of me and my sister. Lucky for me, my foster mama saw me and Nelli and decided to rescue us! My sister Nelli was adopted, and now it's my turn to find a furever home!

Energy Level: Medium. I'm still young, so I love to play and run around, but I'm also happy relaxing near my humans when I'm done.

Things that make me happy: Playing with and being around other dogs, running around outside and playing with my toys. I actually LOVE playing with balls and will chase after them, run around with them in my mouth, and play fetch with them. If shown an obstacle course I will eagerly navigate through it like a pro. I also love being near my human and am up for a good cuddle session when I am not playing or chasing balls.

Things that make my humans happy: How sweet and cute I am, how smart I am and how quickly I pick up on training, my wiggle butt that moves at lightning speed when I get excited and my ears that perk right up like litle little radars on top of my head.

Commands I know: Sit, stay, shake, high five, down, release ( by using the word ok) and place. I'm also working with a dog trainer, and they are helping me be the best dog I can be for my furever home.

Working on: Having more confidence around new people. I can be a little unsure around new people, but once I'm comfortable with you my personality really shines and you'll have a best friend for life!

Dogs/Cats: Yes/No

Children: I have done well around most of the children I have been around, but the rescue thinks I will do best in a home with no kids or with teens that can be calm and gentle with me.

Ideal Family/Home: I love other dogs, so I would be happiest in a home with another dog that does not mind my playful energy. I'd also love an active loving family that is willing to continue my training to be a happy confident girl.

Special note: Piper will be going to more in-depth professional training and will be fully available for adoption once this is complete. She will need someone willing to meet her more than once and patiently allow her to warm up to you. We promise you this special girl is worth it! If you believe Piper is your girl and is worth the time and effort to have an addorable wiggle butt companion for life, please go ahead and fill out an application for her to get the adoption process started.

If you are interested in giving Piper a forever home, please visit the link below to fill out an application! http://fureverafterrescue.org/adoption-application.html It is best to submit an application through a computer.
