Pip's Story

This sweet girl has been through more than most dogs ever should, and she still chooses love.

Meet Pip!

Pip came from a very difficult background where her medical needs were not being met. When she was rescued, she was in extremely poor condition and required extensive veterinary care. Fleas had eaten half her body, she didn’t have any hair on her, and her eye was bulging out from neglected glaucoma.

Thanks to the professional care and a dedicated rescuer, Pip was able to recover and regain her health. Once she was stable, she underwent surgery to remove her left eye, which relieved her of significant pain and greatly improved her quality of life.

Now, she is finally discovering what it means just to be a dog! She loves to hop around the backyard and is happy to walk all day long!

Pip is a senior, deaf, and mostly blind, with a little vision in her right eye. She also has some mobility challenges, but she does not let that slow her down!

She has the sweetest little bark, and when she gets excited, she hops around the yard like a bunny. She loves walks, sunshine, being outside and freshly cooked chicken. She also enjoys car rides; she loves being in the car. Even though her sight is not perfect, she gets around the house using other senses along with her limited sight. It’s pretty incredible that she can find her foster mom by sniffing her out and by memory of the rooms she's found her in before.

She adores being held and gets along well with both dogs and cats. She is fully vetted, spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations.

Some of the photos are pre-surgery and some are post-surgery.

Pip has overcome so much and is now ready for a loving forever home.

Transport is available anywhere in the country for the right adopter, so please reach out.

Please contact Diana Burke at (615)755-5223 or email dianaburke456@gmail.com
