When he first arrived at the shelter, he was heartbreakingly underweight. Staff later learned he had been missing for four months, and sadly, his owner had moved out of state and could not take him back.

Since then, Pin has made an incredible comeback and is now healthy, happy, and ready for a fresh start.

Pin is a fun-loving, energetic dog who loves toys, especially squeaky toys, and enjoys playing tug-of-war. He already knows how to sit and is very motivated by treats and attention. He has done well with other dogs in shelter playgroups, though he can be a little exuberant and puppy-like at first because he is so excited to play.

He walks well on a leash overall, but after spending months in the shelter he sometimes gets overly excited and grabs the leash to play tug while walking. Staff are working with him on this, and they believe being out of the shelter environment will help him continue to improve.

Pin has not been tested with cats. Due to his energetic play style and excitement around treats, he would likely do best with older children.

Age: 6 years old
Gender: Male (neutered)
Weight: 63lbs
Breed: Lab Mix
Good with Dogs: Yes
Good with Cats: not tested
Good with Kids: Yes (older kids preferred)
Leash Manners: Working on it
Potty Trained: Unsure
Crate Trained: Unsure

Pin is looking for a family willing to give him the second chance he deserves.
