Pietro Perry -Houston- Inquiries welcome but not quite available for adoption yet!'s Story
Meet Pietro Perry, or as we call him, Petrie. He is truly the sweetest, silliest little pup in the world. At just 7 pounds, he is extremely small but has a big personality! He’s never met a stranger and loves people, other dogs, and even our cat.

A perfect day for Pietro includes cuddling with you, doing his hilarious rolling-around acrobatics beside you, running around outside, and playing with his favorite toy—tennis balls.

Pietro prefers not to be left alone in a crate; it makes him very nervous and he feels like he’s being left out. He does better when crated with another pup, resting in a puppy pen, or staying loose in the house or a dog-proofed room with pee pads and a belly band.

If your family wants a tiny companion with a giant heart who will be your constant cuddle buddy and keep you laughing, then you might be the perfect match for Pietro.

My optimal Adoptive Home:
Moderate Energy/Activity
Has a Canine Companion
Has an area that can be set up for me to stay in during a full work day with potty pads
Is okay with a dog in their lap quite frequently

At night, I prefer to sleep in:
My human's bed

Know medical needs:
He takes gabapentin for mild allodynia and needs to gain about 2 more pounds.

Apartment homes:
With securely fenced yards may be considered. However, a dog park only complex would not meet his needs. Additionally, only small quiet complex's will be considered.

*My house-training Status is:
We are working on it!
Use washable belly bands at all times.

**Crate training:
My foster family is working on teaching me that the crate is a safe place to relax when I can't be supervised.

*Italian Greyhounds are known for housebreaking issues and most will have occasional accidents. Many come to us as surrenders due to excessive potty accidents indoors. This is typically the result of poor potty routines within the previous home so we do typically get them on track fairly quickly. As an IG parent you must be willing to commit to a structured and reasonable routine to keep your iggy from having excessive indoor accidents.

**Please note that we teach crating as a 'safe happy personal space' where the IG can rest/sleep when confinement is necessary. Crates should NEVER be used as a punishment or 'time out' space.
