Pie's Story
Pie is a beautiful 65-pound German Shepherd/Husky mix with a heart as special as her looks. One of the first things you'll notice about Pie is her stunning heterochromia--one eye is a different color than the other, giving her a truly unforgettable appearance.

Pie's journey hasn't always been easy. She was surrendered to Boxers & Buddies shortly after giving birth to a litter of puppies when her previous owner could no longer care for them. Now that her puppies are in loving homes, it's finally Pie's turn to be the one receiving all the love and attention.

This sweet, affectionate girl has settled beautifully into foster care. Pie gets along well with the five resident dogs in her foster home and also does well with cats. She enjoys encouraging her feline friends to play, so any future cat companions should be comfortable sharing their space with a friendly, playful dog.

Pie loves people and forms strong bonds with her family. Her foster describes her as kind, sweet, and loving. She knows her name (Nikki), responds to "come" and "stop," is crate trained, potty trained, and settles nicely when left alone in her kennel.

While Pie has a lower activity level and enjoys relaxing with her people, she still has moments of excitement and enthusiasm. When she's happy to see her humans, she may jump up to say hello. Because she's still working on her manners and weighs 65 pounds, we recommend a home with children over 5 years old. With continued training, structure, and consistency, Pie is already showing great potential and will only continue to improve.

Pie would thrive in a home that will:
* Continue helping her learn polite greetings and good manners
* Provide structure, guidance, and consistent training
* Appreciate a loyal, loving companion
* Give her the fresh start she deserves

Before adoption, all Boxers & Buddies dogs are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations, and microchipped. All dogs are fostered in loving homes where they are treated like family while practicing socialization skills.

Once an application is submitted, our adoption team will contact you within 24 hours. After an interview and home check, a meet and greet will be scheduled. If you currently have a dog or dogs, they must attend the meet and greet.

If you rent your home, you will be expected to provide a copy of your rental agreement showing that dogs are allowed.

As part of our adoption contract, all dogs are required to attend a training course or puppy socialization class conducted by a certified positive reinforcement trainer. We require professional obedience training from a certified trainer for ALL adoptions.
If you are interested in meet or adoption me, please fill out an adoption application athttps://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=sa3058&method=online_form_html&formid=41
