PICKLES ~ CELL DOG!'s Story

Oh Pickles! This pretty girl has had a rough life. She had people, everyone became homeless, they stayed together as long as they could, but they all went hungry. She came to us a little traumatized and starving. She did not do well in the kennel setting, but has done so much better in a foster home. She is fearful to shy, especially with males, but will warm up. She prefers to be with another dog and does well with large and small dogs and seems indifferent to cats. Do you have a great dog that would like to teach her the ropes? She needs a patient home, as she will need a longer than average time to adjust. Wouldn't you if that was how your life started out?

But look at that face!!!

Pickles was accepted into the Cell Dog Program at the Mansfield Correctional Institution. The supervised inmates will be teaching her obedience, proper leash training, house breaking (if she needs it), commands, socialization and all the things a dog needs to be a great pet.

Adoption fee is $400

All Ashland County Humane Society animals' adoption fees include:

~spay/neuter
~micro-chip
~de-worming
~vaccinations, including rabies
~heartworm prevention

If you are interested in adopting this dog, please visit:
www.ashlandhumane.org/adoption-application
(copy and paste link to address bar) for a printable application.
Complete and email back to applications@AshlandHumane.org

We are an all volunteer-based organization that does not have a building or a staff, only 8 members with jobs and families, trying to make a difference.
