Pickles's Story

Meet Pickles

6 years old • 66 lbs • Male pitbull mix

Pickles is the definition of a loyal, affectionate best friend. He’s fully housebroken, great in the car, and happiest when he’s right next to his people soaking up attention. If you’re looking for a dog that will love you hard and never leave your side, this is your guy.

He’s not a fan of crates and honestly doesn’t need one. He prefers to be out with his people where he feels comfortable and included.

Pickles has low to medium energy depending on the day. He enjoys his walks but will need someone who can handle a little leash pulling, a harness keeps him manageable.

He does have a history of trying to make a run for it, so a securely fenced yard is a must.

Pickles can live with another dog, but he tends to do best with larger, more easygoing dogs. He can get a little overexcited and has a habit of humping, so a confident dog that won’t be bothered by that and proper introductions will set him up for success.

He has lived with cats and done well, and he loves kids, but because he gets excited and can jump, we recommend a home with older kids (8 to 9+).

Pickles is a huge cuddle bug and extremely affectionate.
