Pickle's Story

Hi, I’m Pickle! I’m a 1.5-year-old Chihuahua/Heeler mix and weigh about 21 pounds. I came from a high-kill shelter in Texas and I’m so ready to start the good part of my story. I’m a happy, sweet and loving boy who is friendly with both dogs and people. I’m just an all-around great little dog with a fun personality and lots of love to give.

One thing you should know about me is that I really like to be carried. Because of that, I’ll need a little patience while I get more comfortable walking on a leash. I’m still young and eager to learn, though, and with a little practice I should get the hang of it. I can also be cat tested upon request.

I’ll come fully vetted; neutered, up to date on vaccines and preventatives and already microchipped. If you’re looking for a sweet, happy companion who would love to be close to his people, I might be your guy.

Please apply to adopt me here:
https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/63adcb00cb896f59b74103d2/6abe75f6f610e769c405663d

———

If interested, please do not submit an inquiry through Petfinder. Angie's Dog House's Adoption Policy
Our Adoption Process Our goal is to make the adoption process as smooth as possible while making sure each animal is matched with the right home 1. Submit an Application Complete our adoption application using the link at the bottom of each animal’s bio. Our team will review your application and if approved, someone from the rescue will reach out. PLEASE DO NOT FILL OUT AN INQUIRY ON PETFINDER 2. Home Video Once approved, we will ask you to submit a video walkthrough of your home and yard in lieu of an in-person home visit 3. Animals Already in Foster If the animal is currently in a foster home, the foster parent will contact you to answer questions, tell you more about the animal and arrange a meet and greet. Please bring a leash to the meet and greet. If everything goes well and you feel it is the right match, you may complete the adoption and take your new family member home that day 4. Direct Adoptions From Transport Some of our animals travel to Michigan specifically for direct adoption rather than going into a foster home. Because these animals are coming on transport specifically to meet their approved adopter, a direct adoption must be a firm commitment. Please ask any questions and make sure you are comfortable moving forward before committing to a transport animal 5. Finalizing the Adoption To complete the adoption, you will sign our adoption contract and pay the adoption fee. Once complete, your new family member is officially yours and can head home with you
