Her foster said it only took a day or so for her to warm up and make herself at home, and then she was immediately asking for belly rubs!<br/><br/>About Phoenix<br/> Once she trusts you, she is an absolute cuddle bug who adores belly rubs and affection.<br/> House trained and enjoys a predictable daily routine.<br/> Loves playing tug-of-war and going on peaceful walks.<br/> Has done well meeting other dogs outside of the shelter environment!<br/><br/>Her Ideal Environment<br/> Needs a quiet, low-traffic home to adjust at her own pace.<br/>She is much more afraid of men than she is of women, and would prefer a woman-only home. <br/> Sensitive to loud noises, new environments, and unfamiliar people, but adjusts well with time. You'll be able to meet available dogs in the shelter.<br/>(Dogs in foster care are available to meet by appointment.)<br/><br/>#2- ADOPT REMOTELY OR PLACE A 24-HOUR HOLD** <br/>If you're ready to adopt without meeting the dog first, or you'd like to place a non-refundable $25 hold to reserve a dog for 24 hours, just call or email us: (413) 781-4000 x 1 springfield@dakinhumane.org. We are often helping other clients when you call, but we return voicemails and emails within 24 hours. <br/><br/>**Holds are not available for puppies under six months, on Saturdays, or during adoption events.
