Phoenix's Story
PHOENIX

Phoenix has already lived a lot of life for a girl who’s only about 9 months old.

She was rescued from awful conditions at just five weeks old, fostered, and adopted as a young puppy. But only a few months later, her family decided they didn’t want her anymore, and Phoenix ended up at the shelter. She bounced around to a few different homes before we discovered where she was.

The moment we found out, we started putting together a plan to get her out.

Back then, her name was Willow. But walking out of that shelter was the beginning of a completely new life — and we thought she deserved a name to match.

So Willow was reborn as Phoenix.

Phoenix is a gorgeous pittie mix, about 9 months old and 50 pounds, and she is currently in her velociraptor puppy era. Think rambunctious teenager with a big personality who really, really wants to make you happy — especially if you happen to be holding treats.

She is fabulous with other dogs and loves to PLAY. She plays hard, so another playful dog who can keep up with her would be a great match.

Phoenix is incredibly smart, eager to learn, and highly trainable. She already knows a couple of tricks and is working on her leash skills. She’ll need a family willing to keep teaching her how to channel all that teenage enthusiasm into becoming the amazing adult dog we know she can be.

And underneath all that puppy chaos? She is an absolute love.

Phoenix LOVES belly rubs. She gives the best kisses. She’s affectionate, goofy, beautiful, and full of personality.

This girl has already been rescued, adopted, given up, shuffled around, and landed in a shelter — all before her first birthday.

This time, we want forever.

Phoenix is ready for the family who will look at her and know that she isn’t temporary. She’s home.
